Toyota Camry (XV70): Slip Indicator Light does not Come ON
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) controls the slip indicator light in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
After replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and system information memorization.

PROCEDURE
1. |
INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(d) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream.

(e) Check the combination meter assembly.
OK:
The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with Techstream operation.

PROCEDURE 1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL Click here
2. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE WIRE ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the No. 2 parking brake wire assembly
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 1. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT
(a) Remove the front door scuff plate LH. Click here
(b) Remove the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH.
Click here (c) Remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
Click here (d) Remove the accelerator pedal pad.
