Toyota Camry (XV70): Slip Indicator Light Remains ON
DESCRIPTION
This procedure is for troubleshooting when the slip indicator light remains on but no DTCs are output.
The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) controls the slip indicator light in the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
The slip indicator light blinks during VSC and/or TRAC operation.
If a malfunction is detected, the slip indicator light comes on to warn the driver.

NOTICE:
After replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly), perform acceleration sensor zero point calibration and system information memorization.

PROCEDURE

CHECK VEHICLE CONTROL HISTORY (RoB) (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM AND ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM) |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Brake/EPB / Utility / Vehicle Control History (RoB).
(d) Using the Techstream, check for Vehicle Control History (RoB).

If vehicle control history (RoB) is stored when the vehicle stability control system and electric parking brake system are suspended, the slip indicator light illuminates.

INSPECT COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY |
(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
(d) Perform the Active Test of the combination meter assembly using the Techstream.
