Toyota Camry (XV70): Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module "A" Component Internal Failure (C052096)

DESCRIPTION

The airbag sensor assembly has a built-in yaw rate and acceleration sensor and detects the vehicle condition.

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) via CAN communication.

These DTCs may be stored if one of the following occurs:

  • Yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) installation abnormality.
  • Yaw rate and acceleration sensor signal malfunction.

DTC No.

Multi-axis Acceleration Sensor Module "A" Component Internal Failure

  • When the vehicle is being driven, the offset of the acceleration sensor is less than -2.25 m/s2 or more than 2.25 m/s2.
  • With the +BS terminal voltage between 9.6 and 16.5 V, an acceleration sensor internal malfunction signal is received from the acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly).
  • The value (Forward and rearward G) of the acceleration sensor is less than -14.6 m/s2 or more than 14.6 m/s2 for 3 seconds or more.
  • When the vehicle is stopped, the value (lateral) of the acceleration sensor is less than -7 m/s2 or more than 7 m/s2 for 0.4 seconds or more.
  • The value (lateral) of the acceleration sensor is less than -14.6 m/s2 or more than 14.6 m/s2 for 0.8 seconds or more.
  • Acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) installation
